My name is Connor ``Benjamin” Murphy. I am in 11th grade and my crew teacher is Mrs. Xiaohong Lin. My job in journalism is to take photos of school events or anything for the school yearbook. Another job I have is to get quotes from teachers and students. My most recent job in Journalism is working alongside Lilah as the co-student leader. Some activities I like to do are walking around my neighborhood, as well as doing community service and kayaking. My favorite subjects I like to do in school are World History and Physics. What journalism means to me is it allows me to influence the news that goes on in this school to show everyone what this school does and what it has done in the past. It also allows me to work with a team of my friends. One of the main reasons why I got involved with journalism is I get to help with others and a way to share my ideas to the student leader as well as the rest of the teammates. One thing about me that most people probably don't know is I was born with Autism and doing journalism makes me tell myself that anybody can do whatever they want, no matter what they have that would make them feel “different” or “not normal” to others. I live next to a huge lake so I can go kayaking whenever the weather is warm and sunny. I have a puppy named Whiskey. Journalism is like a family to me, where you help others instead of only doing things for yourself. Journalism also helps me get away from my family because sometimes I feel like I would rather spend more time with my friends then my own family. Spending time outside and watching the sunset lets me cool down and feel peace away from my family. To me “friends are family to me”. Having friends as family is like having the brothers and sisters you care for. Being with people like Lilah has made me feel that being in journalism is where I belong, as well as the rest of Team Press. I am always thankful to have Lilah Ell as a friend, and a leader.

Lilah Ell (student leader for journalism club) - my crew leader is mrs graham. I’m in 10th grade . I first got involved with journalism because I wanted to write and take pictures of the daily action here at our school. You can find me working on getting photos for the yearbook and participating in community service with key club. Some activities I do after school include swimming in my pool or and fishing with my brother. I also do craft fairs and community service, walking my dogs, playing volleyball, watching Clemson football with my brother, working on pools with my dad, going to bible study or going to youth group. Or painting. I enjoy coding and went to the horry county tech fair in 2019 for coding . I also went to special olympics as a buddie for the athletes when I lived in Fort mill. I also went to a police camp in tega cay because I was nominated by my teachers for doing community service. My favorite part about the journalism club is being a part of a team working alongside Connor Annette and everyone else on the team press . I also like that our leader Mr. Walker pushes us to do our best work and I like seeing my fellow team members thrive and that I can count on them to always do their job. The journalism team is a family and if one of us falls down we pick each other back up. One thing people don’t know about me is that I was adopted at an early age this being said I have always struggled with feeling like I belong or that I fit into a club some things people don’t know about me is that I have autism and that me and my brother zack are a year apart and that our birthdays are both on the same day but different months and years . I am also a military daughter and a sister to a marine and a sister to a software engineer . My dad served in the navy and my brother john served in Afghanistan as a marine and he also was a police officer in Charlotte my brother will graduate from Clemson I am originally from Fonda Fountville in up state New York but I moved to Fort mill near Rock Hill before moving back to myrtle beach . I am a dancer and I did dance for 4 years and I was on my middle school's step team . and I was a part of the navy junior rotc program at Carolina forest during the first semester of my freshman year Journalism was an escape to being bullied and other things. As the student leader of journalism club I try to make sure my fellow club members are treated fairly and feel like their voice is heard. I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters I have a pitbull black lab mix named daisy , A wheaten terrier named pipy a long hair chihuahua named bijou .
I am a military sister and military daughter, a sister to 2 brothers who are both on the autism spectrum and adopted. I am very outgoing and I let my faith guide me in everything I do and I always try to help others . |

I am in 9th grade. As my freshman year I decided that I should get involved more with school and what best way to get involved then to join journalism. I have always wanted to do something that related to taking pictures but I had no experience in photography yet CLA gave me that opportunity. It has been an honor to join such an amazing club the students have so much talent and working with them has been so great. During my free time I tend to draw a lot, play my guitar or violin, play soccer, and sometimes I just bake whatever I see that looks good. |

My name is Safyr Vogelsong-Bohn and I am in Ms. Zhang and Ms. Lin’s crew as an 11th grader. I got involved with journalism because there was a prior class in the school that created a student newspaper as well and it did really well so I thought that this newspaper would be fun to be a part of as well. My favorite hobbies is to read, write and draw things whenever I can.

I’m Dom Horan and I’m in Mr. Pope’s crew. I’m in 11th grade and you already know it's all about the good vibes. I joined journalism because of 2 reasons: I wanted to take pictures and because Mr. Walker is a homie. A goal of mine is to find a way to make the school improve before I graduate. If you took the time to read this just letting you know, you a homie and you a great person. Good vibes only!

I’m Sarah Duncan and I’m in the Mr. Leighty crew. I’m in the 12th grade. I joined journalism, because one I already took this class last semester and it was a lot of fun. Secondly, I really enjoyed working on the pages that I was assigned to. I decided I did not want to leave behind the pages that I was assigned, so I decided to join to finish what I started.
