The Peaceful Protest: An Organization for All
Written by Hayley Willard Have you ever dreamt about a better world where everybody is equal? That is what The Peaceful Protest wants to make into a reality. This wonderful organization of people is working towards a future where racism is no longer. The Peaceful Protest has already made a change and has protested against police brutality and systemic racism. They held their first organized event together on June 7th, 2020. When asked to describe The Peaceful Protest in a single sentence, President and Founder Mia Angelo stated “The Peaceful Protest is an organization that is here to spread awareness on racial inequality and the inequality especially within the black community in peaceful and creative ways.” When asked why she started this organization, President Mia Angelo stated “We started this club because we all met through this common cause and believed it was for a reason. We decided to continue our efforts together in order to provide equity to all.” `The Peaceful Protest consists mainly of Mia Angelo: President of The Peaceful Protest, Denzell Small: Vice President of The Peaceful Protest, Bernadette Diana: The Peaceful Protest treasurer, Shakira Brockington: A board member who contributes a little bit of everything to The Peaceful Protest, and Madison Conner: The Peaceful Protest organization’s secretary.
